Special home needed! Marshmallow is a very sweet 10-year-old cat whose person died a year ago. A family member took her in, but Marshmallow wasn't a good fit for the home. She was very depressed and began not using her box as diligently as she should, so the family took her to a local vet to have her euthanized. The vet saw that she was healthy so declined to euthanize her, and instead, one of the staff members at the vet clinic took Marshmallow. She's on medication to help with the inappropriate elimination but still is not 100% about using the box, and the person who took her home has serious health issues herself and can no longer care for her. So, sweet Marshmallow needs a new home! She does well with other pets, is very cuddly, and ideally, since she is healthy, just needs the right environment and plenty of TLC to get her back to her happy place. She is in North Highlands and her time at her current home is limited. If you can help by fostering her on your own, we can help her find a new home, or if you can adopt her outright, that would be even better! We all know that cats have accidents and need plenty of love and good vibes after experiencing loss, multiple moves, and trauma.
