Hi, I’m Discolita, a sweet yet shy female orange tabby (most orange tabbies are male!) in Roseville. I’m in need of a new home, and my story is tough to hear. I was surrendered to a kind family a few months back but they are just too busy to give me the time I need to acclimate to a new life and it was only supposed to be temporary anyway. I’m not sure what happened to my original family, but I know that being left after all those years startled me, and it’s taking me a lot of time to adjust. I can be cautious and introverted until I trust you will truly be here for me. The good news? I am overall fairly healthy (minus some gingivitis, very sweet, and incredibly loving once I trust you. I love my head and ears scratched. I enjoy being talked and sung to. I’ll cuddle on your lap when watching TV and will sleep on anything soft and cozy. Change makes me nervous, so meeting me may take a few tries, and in the home, I’ll want a quiet room of my own while I adjust to more new sights, sounds and smells. I’ve been around kids, and as long as they are gently and quiet I do good, after all, they have laps I can sit on too! I’m clean and well groomed, and prefer my home to be the same.
